disgusting saturdays.

i really hate saturdays. especially saturday nights. its so gross i cant stand it. i'm all alone. miserable and polishing off ben and jerry's ice cream. everyone's out having a great time. even my mom got a life. GREAT! i just did the craziest thing in the evening-swam in the ocean. my arms wouldn't stop. i just wished at some time a huge wave would engulf me. shroud me in eternal darkness. today i barely said two words to my family. not that i got lotsa fascinating stuff to say. my life is so sucky thats why.

i'm so bloody pathetic that i've been studying mitosis and meiosis (biology stuff). its so complicated and arrgh! i'm so gonna hurl. reading by H.G. Wells. boy, i wish i was invisible too. so i can rush down to changi airport now, take the first flight outta here, and never return. and best thing is, no qualms bout getting caught hijacking a plane. paying for the ticket and all that bullshit. yupp, meanwhile i'll continue studying mitosis and meiosis. until i find a way to make myself invisible.

i'm back!

ok. so i have not blogged in a decade. well, cos been busy with school and my screwed-up life. somehow, the good things in life occur in a mad whirl. the bad things..well. they're always there. i'm gonna take my piano exam in a month's time. and seriously, my fingers are retarded on the keyboard. well, having problems with jackson for quite some time. yesterday, i skipped college day to go out with him.
i felt really and genuinely happy in many many months.
but the happiness is gonna end soon.
everyone moves on at some part of her life.
me with no exception.
i'm at peace with the coming thought.

to die for love

i just read the MOST HEART-BREAKING LOVE STORY ever. Forbidden Love by Norma Khouri. its soooo terribly horrifying tragic. so it goes. its a true story which set in present day Jordan. Dalia [girl] meets Micheal [boy]. the obstacle, she's a Muslim and he's a Catholic. in a nation where various religions never interact, it was forbidden for her to be with him. they took great lengths to keep their secret undiscovered. unfortunately, Dalia's family found out. and she was stabbed by her father 12times (honour killing), because she brought shame to the family. the mantra of hnour killing was, " if you have a rotten apple in the bunch, take it out before it infects the rest." the banality of evil. how could her father just murder his daughter for his honour? it surely goes beyond that honour to the most primitive brutality. you know what's the best thing? the court did not charge him for his crime, but applauded him for having the courage to uphold the traditional law of retaining his honour. fuelled by a lifetime of suppressed anger, Dalia's best friend wrote this book and she managed to escape to Greece with Micheal's help and lived there ever since.
Dalia was murdered for the most innocent and universal impulse - wanting to love and be loved.

sunday chills

hmmm.. i just spent like 3hours at starbucks in paragon reading my storybook. and you know what? that place is like infested with all the angmohs in singapore. PRs, expats, tourists from holland, diplomats. you name it. and COINCIDENTALLY! the waitresses and cashiers are like equipped with the Singapore Tourism Board antics. "oh, you're from holland? what a pretty country with those even prettier wind mills. btw, have you seen the Merlion? its really unique cos its half a lion, half a fish. you should really check it out! oh, and the esplanade? it looks like a durian.." i was well rather stunned. i never knew that locals were that proud of our country and somehow seemingly overly excited to promote its attractions. as i was ruminating over this, everyone in starbucks was given a free vanilla latte. it was on the house. oooh! dammit, i shouldnt have bought my drink. but yeah, singapore tourism board must have paid starbucks in paragon 12% of their yearly revenue for such wonderful services :) i mean, suddenly. the employees there were 10times friendlier, you get free drinks on the house, free newspapers. errr, even the drinks taste better. the cushions seem softer. the lights brighter [not sure if thats better! haha] anyways, thats starbucks in paragon for you on sundays. ahhaa. somehow my happiness slowly dissipated when i was waiting for my 36 bus home. you know the citibank area near the bus stop? the man on the mike constantly 24/7. his voice just irks me! this is what happened. "FREE ICE CREAM FOR ALL THOSE WHO SIGN UP FOR CITIBANK CARDS NOW!" no one. 5mins later. "FREE ICE CREAM FOR ALL CITIBANK CARD HOLDERS!" he screams again. no one. soon. "FREE ICE CREAM FOR ALL THOSE ABOVE 21 YEARS OF AGE!" i snorted. 15mins later. "FREE ICE CREAM FOR EVERYONE! BEFORE THE ICE CREAM MELTS! HURRY!" i burst out laughing. i mean, gimme a break. suddenly i dont really fancy ice cream anymore. in fact, if i ever hear the citibank ice cream man's voice again, i'm gonna hurl. nevertheless, i'd love orchard road on sundays :) its lovely. especially starbucks.

CSI is starting nowwwwwwww........... yayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SMILES WIDELY.

haha

although today was the usual mid-week blues/ everyone was like mentally drained and all. but yeah, i felt was it my best wednesday so far. *rubs my tummy* i mean i'm like crowned junk queen now. my accomplice is duhhh.. yvette. *drum-roll* see, we were kinda bored during lessons today. naturally, you start to think of pleasant things! and voila! FOOD! so we were planning our exclusive lunch menu for today. for starters, it was well. ruffles chips! cheddar cheese and those sour cream ones. haha. you know like salad, when you bite them, there's the infamous "crunching" noise. Mmmm. next root beer. with maggie mee! and fried chicken drumlets!to top it off, strawberry ice-cream. haha. we were thoroughly satisfied. trust me. it felt damn good. you should try it one day. the guys were busy calculating the calories in our meal. at the same time, cursing me and yvette to contract some terminal cancer and lose our hair. haha. whatever dudes. seriously, both of us think at the exact wavelength. incredible. in fact, tmr till friday me and yvette are gonna abandon our wayward eating habits. we're going on a nutritional diet. consisting of porridge and fruits and vegetables. plus plain water. hmmp. if i'd survive till friday that is. gag. it already sounds terrible! oh, GP lesson today was like so strenous man. all the permutations, combinations, probability crap. CSI today was way way cool man. i like it when they get down and dirty and started extracting decaying bones from the sewage pipes. oooh! haha. sean was dancing the mass dances in class today. my goodness! it was uber ultra funny. his actions were so rigid and robotic! oh sharks. i forgot bout my chinese homework. oh darn.
